The goal of this repo is to hold the materials for a MicroPython IoT Bootcamp.

This Bootcamp has the following main goals:

• Transfer knowledge and information to create rapid prototypes
• Show the art of the possible using simple devices
• Learn to use these devices in combination with simple and more complex cloud services Using both Micosoft and other technologies
• Allow the participant use the knowledge during provided Labs
• Allow the participants to use this knowledge to envision possibilitiues for the use of IoT in production environments.
• Take the solutions (both Software and Devices) back to their workplace or home to continue learning and expirimentation.

The plan is to use ESP32 based hardware with SPI RAM support to allow effective protytyping without the need to write highly optimised code.

The bootcamp will use MicroPython and specifically the firmware for the ESP32 developped by loboris / MicroPython_ESP32_psRAM_LoBo

The Labs will make use of Visual Studio Code in combination with the pymakr VCSCode add-in by Pycom, which graciously also supports non-pycom boards running Micropython as of version 0.1.4

Earlier versions of this material made use of a fork of ESPlorer: Josverl/ESPlorer which is a simple IDE and this fork has specific support for MicroPython.

Windows 10:

• Fork or clone this repo to your machine , ie C:\MicroPyhon-Bootcamp
• Optionally you can clone the repo to another location (D:\Dev\Micropython-Bootcamp) and crerate a symlink to access it from c:\Micropython-Bootcamp using 'mklink /d :\Micropython-Bootcamp D:\Dev\Micropython-Bootcamp`. Note that this requires Admin privilges or Developer Mode on Windows 10
