Hacking django-coltrane to create a generic resources website CMS for my place of work.

1. Set up 'other' text field for phytosanitary resource type
2. Markdown WYSIWYG with WMD for resource descriptions
3. Make homepage introduction text editable with Markdown and WMD preview - write a template tag for this
4. Design header banner
5. Document application deployment to production server and update workflow 6.Resources marked 'For Review' are still visible on direct URL and search - fix this.
6. Design favicon for www.phytosanitary.info
7. Set up fixtures for Categories, Tags and Sitename to be automatically added to the database upon installation.

• Set up authentication using www.ippc.int existing user database backend
• Email notification to moderators/staff and contributor who uploaded resource when new resources are submitted
• Syndication feeds
• Implement Internal/External Projects Database with Google map
• I18N, including right-to-left scripts such as Arabic
• Custom application page pulling data from an external source using something like the infochimps apis (thanks B.B.King of *x sysadmin)
• Currently selected tag should be highlighted in Browse Tags menu
• Replace django-tagging with django-taggit and implement autocomplete

• Faster (less database queries)
• Clean URLs!
• Easy to add and edit articles (human-writeable and readable Markdown syntax)
• You get redirected to the URL you wanted to reach after logging in
• Clean HTML templates
• Permissions groups for contributors, secretariat staff, superadmins
