$ cd eolie
$ ./autogen.sh
$ make
# make install
# update-desktop-database
$ git clone https://github.com/gnumdk/eolie.git
$ cd eolie
$ sudo apt-get install autoconf libglib2.0-dev intltool yelp-tools libgirepository1.0-dev libgtk-3-dev python-gobject-dev python3-dev libwebkit2gtk-4.0-dev gir1.2-webkit2-4.0
$ ./autogen.sh
$ make
$ sudo make install
$ sudo update-desktop-database
Instead of make install
you might want to use checkinstall
# apt-get install checkinstall
# checkinstall
This will allow you to uninstall eolie as a package, for example with apt-get uninstall eolie
.
