INTRODUCTION
============

This project is the code for the web site mldata.org.


INSTALLATION
============

To install django (Assuming you have python)

Get the source from
http://www.djangoproject.com/download/

$ tar xzvf Django-1.2.3.tar.gz
$ cd Django-1.2.3
$ sudo python setup.py install

(If you have an old version, you need to delete the previous installation
under /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/django by hand!)

Create database and load sample data:
$ python setup.py install

Warning:
Default admin user mldata/mldata is created!

Run the webserver with
$ cd website/mldata/
$ python manage.py runserver

The default webserver runs at http://127.0.0.1:8000/
Point your web browser to it and have a look.

As usual in python, you should be able to install all of
these modules with "sudo python setup.py install"

- memcache:

  For caching, you need memcache, both the actual server and
  the python package. See http://docs.djangoproject.com/en/1.3/topics/cache/
  For example, you can install:
    http://memcached.org/ and
    http://www.tummy.com/Community/software/python-memcached/
