Does not work for python > 3.11, since numpy.distutils was removed. In order to make this module work for python >= 3.12, the build system needs to be updated to use meson.

Installation:

python setup.py install

(to change default fortran compiler you can use e.g. python setup.py build config_fc --fcompiler=g95)
