FAT-CAT is an open-source project of the Sjolander Lab at UC Berkeley.
FAT-CAT stands for Fast Approximate Tree ClassifiCATion and implements an HMM 
based method to place a sequence within an existing phylogenetic tree.

The project is supervised by Kimmen Sjolander, Dept.of Bioengineering and Dept. of Plant and Microbial Biology
