Python utility to make symbolic links (symlinks) management
much easier across various platforms.

Let me explain by example.

Utility uses 2 files in the project directory:

.links :

/django/ = LIB/django-trunk/django
/south/ = LIB/south/south
/site_media/admin/ = LIB/django-trunk/django/contrib/admin/media

.dirs :

LIB = C:\Projects\django-lib

Using these files, you can define your links in cross-platform way and
store it in version control system.

After you check out your project to the new platform (or updated 
from repository), you type "manage-links.py links-reset", and symlinks
are created for you according to the rules from the ".links" file.
(Please note, that currently this function is not working).

After you made a new symlink, type "manage-links.py links-commit" to
put a new symlink information into ".links" file.

To compare .links file with actual directory information, please
use "manage-links.py links-list" command.

Commands "manage-links.py links-list" and "manage-links.py dirs"
display the data inside the ".links" and ".dirs" files accordingly.

".dirs" file may be placed in project directory or user directory
(or both), and defines common shortcuts for your paths.
If such shortcut is not found for some path, then path is considered
relative to the root of the project, and its head fragment won't be
replaced, so for path A/b you'll get a relative link to A/b .

Utility defines the following commands (taken from application help) :

usage: manage-links.py <command> [options]

commands:

 dirs          Show all dirs in project filesystem
 help          Show help for a given help topic or a help overview
 links-commit  Commit links data into .links file
 links-list    Show dirs shortcuts allowed in .links files
 links-reset   Reset links data from .links file
 links-show    Show all links in project filesystem
