This file includes customizations used for emacs on both personal and work computers.
For Windows environments, you can find the .emacs.d directory in

C:\Users<>\AppData\Roaming\.emacs.d

The .emacs file is located in

C:\Users<>\AppData\Roaming

The init.el file should be inserted into a proper path, where load-path is defined. It doesn't hurt to put this into the .emacs.d directory.
