Kanban requires Python 2.6+ and has the following Ubuntu package dependencies:
python-commandant
python-jinja2
python-launchpadlib
python-testtools
(to run the test suite)python-twisted
(to run the test suite)
The python-commandant
package is available from a PPA:
https://launchpad.net/~jkakar/+archive/commandant
Run the following command to learn how to use Kanban in more detail:
bin/kanban help tutorial | less
Development can be done by installing the packages above but it's
probably easier to use PIP in a virtualenv. You need to install
virtualenvwrapper
and virtualenv
and then run the following
commands:
mkvirtualenv kanban
make build check
At this point all the tests should have run and passed and you should be ready to hack on the code.
