Copy the two files gears-dev.inx and gears-dev.py to your computer:
Linux:
- ~/.config/inkscape/extensions/ or
- /usr/share/inkscape/extensions/
Windows:
- C:\Program Files\Inkscape\share\extensions.
Mac OS X:
- /Applications/Inkscape.app/Contents/Resources/extensions/.
