This project uses the Pattern CLiPS Web Mining module available at : http://www.clips.ua.ac.be/pattern

In this project Tweets are collected based on Emotions denoting Hashtags:

Positive Emotions: #joy, #happy, # bliss , #ecstasy, #merry Negative Emotions: #sad, #gloomy, # depressed, #mourn, #despair.

These tweets are the analyzed and a classifier is made on it so as to predict whether a new tweet appearing denotes either a Positive Emotion or a Negative Emotion.

The setup of this folder is as shown:

Code : This folder containt he scripts written including the ones used for Collecting the tweets, preprocessing the tweets and the ones used for Classifying the tweets. It also holds the various stages of the data. Experiments: These are the raw Results files obtained by performing experiments on the data in WEka, CLUTO and Python. They have Performance measures by using different methods. Report: This folder holds the final report and submitted presentation. Scrap_scripts: These are the experimentation files which were written in the process of fininshing the project.
