Exploratory plots of clusters

IPython notebook of galaxy luminosity maps with associated peaks for 129 clusters and groups .

IPython notebook that visualizes the same galaxy clusters but gives number density instead. We can clearly tell luminosity maps do a better job matching the underlying DM particle distribution when you compare the notebooks with the one below.

IPython notebook of DM particle density histograms with associated peaks. Since this notebook is quite large, you may need to refresh the website a few times for it to be rendered correctly.

prerequisites

  • see /code/package_version.txt

To install the package prerequisites, use pip:

$ pip install -r /code/package_version.txt

You are advised to install the package prerequisites to a python virtual environment.
