Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall live and die at my post. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the shield that guards the realms of servers. I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come.
Besides its reference to Game of Thrones (GoT), NightWatch (a.k.a. Night Watch Daemon, or nwd) is a small server-side sofware that checks for systems inconsistencies and triggers alarms in the unfortunate event of something bad happening.
NightWatch is Python-based and fully modular and uses providers to handle specific configurable events and triggers actions.
NightWatch currently supports the following providers:
- Ping
- HTTP Requests
- Facette API
