In order to use this code you must create a local database and enter your database settings in settings.py. Find the following variables and enter your settings: DATABASE_ENGINE = '' # 'postgresql_psycopg2', 'postgresql', 'mysql', 'sqlite3' or 'oracle'. DATABASE_NAME = '' # Or path to database file if using sqlite3. DATABASE_USER = '' # Not used with sqlite3. DATABASE_PASSWORD = '' # Not used with sqlite3. DATABASE_HOST = '' # Set to empty string for localhost. Not used with sqlite3. DATABASE_PORT = '' # Set to empty string for default. Not used with sqlite3. For whoever next works on this project, here is a summary of the current code state: The arvtracker project consists of two parts. The first part is for uploading a csv file and the second is for generating graphs based on the uploaded data. The only model is 'Patient' which consists of each piece of data for a row within the data files which are uploaded. The code for uploading files can be found in views.py|uploader() and helper.py|handle_uploaded_file(). Each line of the file is parsed and entered as a row in the patient database table. The code for generating graphs is in views.py|select_chart(),charts() and pretty much everything else in helper.py. The user enters a date range and selects a graph. The data for that graph is gathered and calculated (get_weeks(),sum_counts()). Then the url for producing a google chart is constructed passing in that data (get_stakeholder_url(),get_percentage_url()). Information about the google charts api can be found here: http://code.google.com/apis/charttools/index.html. If you are new to Django I suggest taking a look at this tutorial: http://docs.djangoproject.com/en/dev/intro/tutorial01/. It will help explain the code structure.
